Launched: Wajer 44

The new Wajer 44 sports better volume than its 38’ sibling, at a price point reserved for the top of the market.

Tom Brady’s Wajer 77 may be old news in a few months.

The Wajer 44 is upon us.

Relative to its competition, Wajer has been in the day boat business for quite some time. Alternative to most others though, Wajer has kept things simple. Founded in 1992 with the Wajer Launch, its model lineup has remained lien, albeit at a premium price. Wajer extended its offering with a 37’ in 2006, later improving the boat in 2013 and extending it to 38’. 2016 saw the introduction of the famed Wajer 55, and 2021 featured the launch of the Wajer 77 on the back of the “GOAT”, Tom Brady. All things considered, Wajer’s successful rise to Best in Class is impressive with three models. Cue the launch music…

While moseying through the Wajer Miami Beach office in March, I stumbled on a mystifying travel case. After some convincing, I was privy to a secret reveal of the case, which contained the scale model of Wajer’s new release, the Wajer 44. Watch the brand’s model launch video below.

TECHNOLOGY REIGNS SUPREME.

Wajer’s boating lifestyle improvements extend into your mobile device with the Wajer 44 launch, with major components now manageable through the Wajer Owner’s App. Manage components like your anchor arm, A/C system, and swim ladder directly from your hand, and be aware of any issues happening on board the moment they occur.

FROM 38 TO 44. BIG WINNER? THE CABIN.

The 44 is quite literally a larger 38. It utilizes the same profile, proportions and layout, just with more length and beam for a more comfortable experience. The biggest structural change comes in the cabin, where a bow bathroom serves its users better than the smaller starboard bathroom on the 38, a countertop/kitchen sits on the port side, and a comfortable and convertible couch sits starboard.

THE BRADY AFFECT.

Want a Wajer? Get in line.

After the 2021 Super Bowl, Wajer was on full display when Tom Brady tossed the Lombardi Trophy to Rob Gronkowski from the platform of his Wajer 55. We’d later learn his role as Wajer spokesman would grow when he called in as the special guest of their Wajer 77 Launch Event.

Brady keeps his 77 in Miami Beach, although its got big plans amongst the East Coast and the Bahamas now that he’s not taking snaps on a football field.

BRASS TAX: $2,000,000

The quality and beauty of the Wajer 44 doesn’t come cheap. Its MSRP will likely land you around $2,000,000 USD and you’ll have to build it from scratch. That said, quality always comes with a price.

If $2M is too high, you can always get a scale model for motivation.
