Prestige Marine facilitated the purchase of a 2021 VanDutch 40 in an off-market transaction, with Reed Nicol representing the buyer. The vessel was acquired from its original owner and sold for an undisclosed price.
The 2nd generation VanDutch 40 builds upon the foundation of one of the most recognizable day boats ever produced, incorporating thoughtful upgrades that enhance both usability and onboard comfort. This particular 2021 example presented in mint condition and featured one of the most desirable and now-discontinued options: a fully convertible bimini top. The feature seamlessly stows in the deck and is widely regarded as one of the best design elements ever engineered on the model.
Powered by upgraded Volvo 440HP engines, this vessel is one of only two U.S.-built 2nd generation VanDutch 40s equipped with traditional shaft drives, offering a unique blend of performance and mechanical simplicity. Additional features included an automated anchor system, custom “Super Jet Black” paint, and dual Garmin displays for intuitive, full-command vessel control.
