Prestige Marine, the boutique brokerage division of Prestige Imports, proudly announces the sale of a meticulously maintained 2017 VanDutch 40.
Prestige Marine has closed on the sale of another listing, a 2017 VanDutch 40. The sale was led by Reed Nicol, who represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
The 1st generation VanDutch 40 – an icon in the luxury day boat segment – continues to set the standard for sleek design and dependable performance. This particular 2017 example stood out as the lowest-hour VanDutch 40 on the market at the time of sale and was uniquely offered with a spare set of OEM Veem propellers, a level of ownership care rarely seen in today’s market. As one of only five units delivered from the factory with Garmin electronics, she also featured desirable upgrades including a freshwater washdown at the anchor hatch and an enhanced Dometic tropical air conditioning system.
Positioned as a turnkey solution, the vessel was acquired by the owner of a private 35-meter yacht to serve as a luxury tender operating between Miami and the Bahamas—further reinforcing the model’s reputation for versatility and prestige within larger yacht programs.
“This 40 had a special place in my heart,” said Reed Nicol. “I’ve always favored the 2017 vintage for its build quality and thoughtful details—things like the small cabin fridge, Humphree auto-trim system, and color LED engine displays. When you’re looking at a model that’s been so consistently configured since its launch in 2009, it’s those subtle differences that really separate a boat from its market comps.”
This marks the second VanDutch 40 sale completed by Reed Nicol & Prestige Marine in the opening months of 2026, underscoring continued demand for well-kept examples of this enduring model.
The vessel was last listed at $379,000.
