RN Marine Sells Custom WJ Trawler
After selling his company and entering a pseudo-retirement, our client’s dream of running an experiential charter business started to take shape. The goal was a nostalgic, laid back experience where great food and adventurous activities were readily available. The company’s preferred operation led us to target US-built vessels which would not require a MARAD waiver, and an opportunity to have the vessels inspected by the USCG to allow for the optimal consumer experience.
M/Y Walrus fulfilled our commercial needs and caught the client’s eye as a style unique to the charter market. As of November 2022, M/Y Walrus began a refit period to prepare for commercial operation, and has gone through RN Marine’s Valid Vessel process to certify a charter-ready designation.
“WALRUS” was listed at $995,000 at the time of sale.
